Get vaccinated: ICMR study says Covaxin booster shot safe to prevent covid infections
The multi-centric, case control and hospital-based study was conducted from May-July 2021 and it was discovered that the Covishield had an efficacy rate of 85 per cent and Covaxin had a 71 per cent success rate. The vaccine efficacy estimates were similar against Delta strain and its sub-lineages, said Pawar.
