After being promised battle tanks from Germany, the US, and other NATO nations, Ukraine has said that it will now push its allies for fourth-generation fighter jets, attack helicopters, and long-range missiles. Yuriy Sak, who is an advisor to the Ukrainian defence minister Oleksiy Reznikov, said that the “next big hurdle” for Kyiv will be procuring fighter aircrafts mainly American F-16s for air-to-air combat with Russia. Soon after, former Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko told Euronews that Kyiv now needs attack helicopters and long-range missiles and these should be sent soon. These remarks came on a day, Germany said it would provide 14 of its Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, something Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had been pleading for months, and the US said it will send 31 Abrams tanks to Kyiv. Is Ukraine’s appetite for western weapons increasing? Will the West draw the line at battle tanks? Watch for details. #UkraineFighterJet #Leopard2Tank #AbramsTank #RussiaUkraine
