Monsoon session disrupted: How will govt be held accountable? | The Newshour Debate

On The Newshour Debate with Madhav Das, we talk about the ongoing monsoon session in the Parliament. As the Parliament completes 9 days of working, only 13% of the total time was utilised in legislation. 11 Bills were passed without any discussion. This rendered the Members of Parliament with no accountability. The Parliament sessions were disrupted due to protests by Opposition parties over issues such as the Pegasus Spygate row, the farmers protest, rising fuel prices etc. TMC MP Saugata Roy said that We’ve been demanding from July 19 until today that structured discussion on Pegasus should take place. PM or HM should reply. The government has not responded yet. Watch the video to see the whole discussion and stay updated with the latest news on Times Now!
