    India-China holds military talks: India calls for early resolution of standoff

    India and China held the 12th Corps Commander-level talks yesterday to discuss ways to resolve the 14-month-long military standoff between the two sides in eastern Ladakh. India has called for an early resolution and will now focus on disengagement. Sources said that the meeting was successful and lasted for nine hours. There has been a standoff between India and China over the eastern Ladakh sector. The forward movement in the meeting is hopeful in resolving the outstanding issues. The meeting was held at Moldo on the Chinese side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC). This fresh round of agreement was held after 3.5 months, with the last meeting held in April, which lasted for 13 hours.
